
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu inspected the Batman-Hasankeyf Road within the scope of the Batman program in which he participated together with Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek and General Manager of Highways Ahmet Gülşen.
“Hopefully, we will complete the 9-kilometer section of our divided road.”
Uraloğlu gave the good news that the construction of the remaining 39,4 kilometers of the Batman Hasankeyf Road, which has a total length of 9,6 kilometers, will start and the integrity of the divided road between Batman and Hasankeyf will be ensured. Uraloğlu said, “A 9-kilometer section was incomplete. Now, we will start the work here from Batman and hopefully finish the 9-kilometer section of our divided road. This year, we will work all the days that seasonal conditions allow. "By completing this area next year, we will open the densely populated section within the zoning boundaries of Batman to traffic." he said.
Pedestrian and traffic safety will increase with the construction of the route
With the completion of the work on Batman Hasankeyf Road, divided road integrity will be ensured in this section.
In addition, the superstructure of the 6,6-kilometer road, which currently serves as a surface-coated divided road between Batman and the Organized Industrial Zone, will be made with bituminous hot mixture coating, and fast, safe and comfortable transportation service will be provided on the Batman OIZ route.
A total of 80 million lira will be saved annually
With the completion of the sections under construction, a total of 54 million liras will be saved annually, including 26 million liras in time and 80 million liras in fuel. In addition, annual exhaust emissions will be reduced by 3.247 tons.
