Heavy Rain Negatively Affects Life in Istanbul

The rain, which started in the morning in Istanbul, is effective throughout the province from the morning hours. The highest rainfall was measured in Beykoz, Ümraniye, Sarıyer and Şişli districts. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality teams are on standby against possible negativities and respond to notices received from across the province with 5.045 personnel, 2.104 vehicles and work machines.

​The rains expected for this weekend in Istanbul started to be effective from the morning hours. It is expected that the temperature will drop (4-6 °C) as the rains expected to continue throughout the day today will turn from southwest to dark winds as of noon. It is expected that the wind will increase in intensity over time, blowing at storm force (50-80 km/h) in the districts in the north and strongly (30-50 km/h) in the districts in the south.

THE MOST RAINFALL IS IN BEYKOZ AND ÜMRANİYE

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality teams, which are on standby against possible negativities due to the expected storm and heavy rain, respond to the notices received from across the province with 5.045 personnel, 2.104 vehicles and work machines.

Problematic points / important events are as follows:

1. Due to adverse weather conditions, there were disruptions in City Lines sea transportation services.
