Karsan, which invests in new generation energy systems with the vision of being "One Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility", added a new one to the awards it won with its innovative products.
Karsan, which plays a leading role in electrifying the transportation infrastructure of Europe as well as Turkey, continues to be rewarded for its successful applications and high-tech production power. Increasing its production capability day by day with the vision of being "One Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility", Karsan attracted attention at the Stevie Awards, one of the leading award programs of the business world, and won an award this year as well as last year.
We filled a gap in the market
At the 20th Stevie Awards organization held this year, Karsan was deemed worthy of the Bronze Stevie Award for e-ATA HYDROGEN in the transportation branch in the Product and Service category. The award won by the hydrogen-fueled e-ATA HYDROGEN from the Stevie Awards, one of the world's leading business awards held since 2002, is an important result of Karsan's recent new technology investments.
Karsan CEO Okan Baş said that they started to produce 5 percent electric vehicles with e-JEST 100 years ago with the vision of being "One Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility" and added: "Soon we added e-ATAK and 10-12-18 meter e-ATA to our product range." We have completed our electric product range with our new models. These vehicles continue to grow rapidly in their respective segments in Europe. In addition, we managed to fill an important gap in the market by adding a hydrogen fuel option to our e-ATA model. "We are also proud of this prestigious award received by our hydrogen e-ATA model," he said.
We also pioneer hydrogen conversion
Emphasizing that hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are a very new technology in public transportation, Okan Baş said, “Currently, 2 percent of the urban bus market in Europe has hydrogen technology. However, just like battery electric vehicles for a sustainable future, hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles will grow further in the public transportation market in the coming years. "As Karsan, we aim to pioneer the hydrogen transformation in urban transportation in this market," he said.
Filling can be done in 7 minutes

Equipped with a 1.560 liter lightweight composite hydrogen tank located on the ceiling, e-ATA Hydrogen easily reaches a range of over 500 km in real use conditions, that is, when the vehicle is full of passengers and on a stop-and-go route. e-ATA HYDROGEN, the vehicle with the best range in its class, can easily carry more than 95 passengers, depending on the maximum loaded weight and preferred option features. The vehicle, equipped with a state-of-the-art fuel cell with 70 kW power, can be filled with hydrogen in less than 7 minutes.
