Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, together with the Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) AK Party Kayseri Deputy Hulusi Akar, attended the 2nd Apple and Tourism Festival organized by Yahyalı Municipality and met with the citizens.
Speaking on the first day of the 2nd Elma Culture and Tourism Festival organized by Yahyalı Municipality, Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that the unity and solidarity in Kayseri is very strong and that this unity is always hand in hand, and wished the festival to be beneficial.
Talking about the unique beauties of Yahyalı, Mayor Büyükkılıç said:
“Yahyali, you are amazing. You are the moral insurance of our Kayseri. We love you very much. When we come here, our hearts are relieved. When we come here, our problems almost disappear. As I greet everyone who came together on the occasion of the Apple Festival, I see that the festival has been instrumental in our unity, solidarity and brotherhood. I embrace each of you. I would especially like to thank my esteemed president, Brother Esat, who works in harmony with us and fights for his country. While you give him strength, we also cooperate and show solidarity to do whatever is necessary for our Yahyal by joining hands. We thank God for coming together with our valuable ministers, MPs and political friends in this understanding. We continue our work together under the crescent and star Turkish Flag, with an understanding of loyalty to our homeland and nation. “Our Kayseri joins hands with its 16 districts and all its beauties.”
Stating that, as the Metropolitan Municipality, everyone is aware of Yahyalı's material and moral support to Kayseri while working in the city, Mayor Büyükkılıç continued his speech as follows:
“In the past, when we mentioned Yahyalı, we thought of apples and carpets. Now, thank God, our President Esat explained it all. A good tourism destination. It's a complete tourist area. Besides these, most importantly, we are in an energy corridor, energy region. Of course, his contribution to our country and our city cannot be ignored. I embrace you and would like to thank our esteemed president and his team for such a meaningful festival that will truly contribute to our unity.”
AK Party Deputy Hulusi Akar said, “Dear people of Yahyalı, famous for its wealth and beauty and for protecting our national and spiritual values, we have truly achieved many things with your love, trust and prayers. As long as we continue, there is no difficulty we cannot overcome. We continue our work uninterruptedly for a strong and great Türkiye. "Together, we have done whatever needed to be done for the development and growth of our country and we continue to do so." he said.
Speaking on the first day of the 2nd Elma Culture and Tourism Festival organized by Yahyalı Municipality, Yahyalı District Governor Mehmet Kaya talked about the values of Kayseri in terms of tourism and said, “Today, Yahyalı is one of the distinguished districts of Anatolia with its thousand-year cultural accumulation and memory. "Yahyalı is a treasure with its geographical beauties, underground resources, energy, historical and cultural values, tourism destinations, and today's annual production of 100 thousand tons of apples." he said.
Mayor Büyükkılıç also shared information about the international marathon to be held on Sunday and invited the citizens of Yahya to the race.
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç gave the award to producer Aysel Korucu, who came first in the apple competition held within the scope of the event. Mayor Büyükkılıç presented another gold coin to Aysel Korucu. AK Party Kayseri Deputy Ayşe Böhürler presented the gold to Korucu. Böhürler said, “I am very happy that the product produced by a female producer, a farmer, was chosen as the best apple. "I congratulate all women from here." she said.
The best apple competition, activities for children and shows were held at the festival.
At the 2nd Apple and Tourism Festival organized by Yahyalı Municipality, famous artist Elif Buse Doğan took the stage after the speeches and award ceremony. The popular artist sang popular songs to the citizens who filled the square.
