Hyundai started production of the New Kona Electric at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) factory based in the Czech Republic.

HMMC plans to produce 21 thousand units of Kona Electric in the first year. With this development, Hyundai continues to work towards its goal of selling only zero-emission vehicles in Europe by 2035.

The second generation Kona continues to offer a class-leading product range with advanced safety and comfort features with the EV version. Apart from this new model, Hyundai will also introduce 2030 new Hyundai EV models to the market by 11.

Hyundai continues to show its commitment to its customers across Europe by producing in Europe. The first generation Kona Electric, produced in Hyundai's Ulsan facility in South Korea, has now been strategically moved to a factory in Europe with the new model. This strategic decision significantly shortens delivery times for customers in Europe.

HMMC will export the Kona Electric model to more than 40 countries, including Turkey. The production quantity of Kona Elektrik, which will constitute 15 percent of the total production of the facility, will increase over the years. Hyundai Kona Elektrik's meeting with Turkish consumers will take place in the last quarter of the year.
