TCDD Transportation, High Speed Train, freight transportation, suburban and passenger transportation fees have increased by 55 percent.
When the news of TCDD's increase was not shared with the public, those who went to the institution's website to buy tickets and citizens waiting in line at the stations were surprised. TCDD Transportation increased high-speed train prices 2022 times in 5. This year, YHT tickets were first increased in January. Last July, there was a 30 percent increase in tickets.
After the new increase, the current prices are as follows:
Ankara – Istanbul ticket price is 323 lira, initially 430 lira,
Ankara – Konya ticket price is 146 lira, while it is 200 lira,
Ankara – Eskişehir ticket price is 136 lira, while it is 225 lira,
Ankara – Sivas ticket price is 312 lira, while it is 475 lira,
Ankara-Yozgat ticket price is 170 lira, while it is 260 lira,
Yozgat-Kırıkkale ticket price is 156 lira, while it is 240 lira,
Yozgat-Sivas ticket price was 221 lira, but now it is 335 lira.
It is thought that there may be different reasons behind the increase decision made by TCDD Transportation. Factors such as increasing operating costs, changes in fuel prices, maintenance and repair costs of trains are among the main reasons behind the increases reflected in ticket prices.
