President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, at Turkevi. Musk came to the reception with his son.

President Erdoğan, who is in New York to attend the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), continues his contacts.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission Mustafa Varank, and Presidential Digital Transformation Office President Ali Taha Koç were also present at the reception.

Tesla's call to establish its 7th factory in Turkey

President Erdoğan told Musk about Turkey's breakthroughs in technology, the Digital Turkey Vision and the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy.

Reminding that Tesla entered the Turkish market with Togg hitting the roads in Turkey, President Erdoğan called for Tesla to establish its 7th factory in Turkey.

President Erdoğan stated that cooperation opportunities with SpaceX may arise in the steps taken and to be taken within the scope of Turkey's space program and invited Musk to TEKNOFEST to be held in Izmir.

President Erdoğan presented Musk with the English version of his book "A More Just World is Possible" and the book "UN Reform: A New Approach to International Cooperation" prepared by the Presidential Directorate of Communications, which explains the reasons for Turkey's request for reform in the United Nations Security Council. He also gave a football ball to Musk's child.
