Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç made examinations in the Erciyes geothermal drilling area within the scope of the studies carried out to make Mount Erciyes known for thermal tourism and to evaluate this potential. In Erciyes, where hot water can be reached at 385 meters, in the light of technical data, the new target is determined as 420 meters and it is planned to reach hot water at a higher temperature and higher flow rate.
While hot water drilling works continue uninterruptedly by the Metropolitan Municipality to increase the potential of Erciyes and make it a center of attraction that can be used for 12 months, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç inspected the work carried out in this context on site.
During the technical visit to Mayor Büyükkılıç, Deputy Secretary General of the Metropolitan Municipality and Erciyes A.Ş. He was accompanied by Chairman of the Board of Directors Hamdi Elcuman, Deputy Secretary General Ali Hasdal and Mustafa Türkmen and department heads.

Büyükkılıç, who received information about the latest situation from Duran Safrantı, Head of Agricultural Services Department, and the authorities, wished good luck to the personnel working in the region.
In his statement here, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “Erciyes Ski Center is our pride, it is a world-class center. "In order to crown this, we continue to work diligently on hot water works with an understanding that also provides a glimmer of hope," he said.

Stating that the preliminary data indicate that the studies on thermal water will result positively, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “We are continuing our work to further clarify and conclude this. I hope this work, which will make the greatest contribution to our Erciyes, will result as we hope. We hope that our hotels will have thermal facilities to provide service in the summer as well. Büyükkılıç emphasized that hot water has been reached in the region, but technically the work has not been completed yet, and said, “Hot water has been reached, it went down further, we saw that everyone welcomed it with joy, but the works that will technically result in the way we desire have not been completed yet. "We hope and believe that we will be happy," he said.
