Metro Istanbul, one of the subsidiaries of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), graduated from the Metro Istanbul Summer School, which it organized for the second time this year within the scope of IMM Summer Activities. 383 children who participated in the program held at Metro Istanbul's Esenler Campus during the summer received their certificates at the ceremony.
Metro Istanbul, Turkey's largest urban rail system operator, organized the second Metro Istanbul Summer School program at Esenler Campus between 10 July and 1 September within the scope of IMM Summer Activities.
During the summer; 383 children participated in robotic coding, aikido, athletics, cartoon, comic book workshop, recycling workshop, fire awareness training, badminton, volleyball, basketball, M-Farmer, Science Bus and children's rights trainings, at IBB Prof. Dr. They received their certificates at the ceremony held at Adem Baştürk Cultural Center.
“We reached 24 children from 383 districts”
Reminding that they have been meeting with Istanbulites by organizing events in different fields from culture-art to sports since the day they took office, Metro Istanbul General Manager Dr. Özgür Soy said, “We have never seen Metro Istanbul as limited to transportation services only. We wanted to share the opportunities we had with our neighbors and opened the doors of our campuses, which appeared to be surrounded by four walls from the outside, to the people of Istanbul. It attracted more attention than we expected, and we reached 24 children from 383 districts at the Metro Istanbul Summer School, which we organized for the second time this year within the scope of IMM Summer Activities, so we have now expanded beyond Esenler. We are happy if we made even a small contribution to our mothers, fathers and children. Seeing the smiling faces of our children is worth everything. "We will continue to meet all our citizens from 7 to 70 with the Open Air Cinema Days, and children and their parents with the semester events we organize during the semester holidays in our campuses," he said.

Stating that the Metro Istanbul Summer School, which was held for the second time this year, was held with intense participation, Soy said:
“Seeing our children so happy here today gave us great happiness and energy. In line with the vision given to us by our President Ekrem, we never see these seats, these positions, these places as our own. We remember every minute that we were elected by the people and that we are on duty to serve the people. One of the best things we did with this vision was the Metro Istanbul Summer School. We would like to thank IMM Fire Department, Social Services Department, Youth and Sports Directorate, Institute Istanbul İSMEK and İSTAÇ for their support, who did not leave us alone while organizing this program. "We would like to thank the headmen we worked with from the beginning to the end while organizing these organizations, and all our teammates who contributed to the summer school program so that our children had an unforgettable summer."
A total of 41 hours of training was given with 300 instructors
In the "Metro Istanbul Summer School" program, which consists of 2 periods of 4 weeks each and 7-10 and 11-14 age groups participate; Robotic coding, aikido, athletics, cartoon, comic book workshop, recycling workshop, fire awareness training, badminton, volleyball, basketball, M-farmer, science bus and children's rights training were given. A total of 41 hours of training were provided throughout the summer at the Metro Istanbul Summer School, where 14 different programs were prepared with 300 instructors. While their children participated in fun and educational activities, parents who wanted to participate in the various artistic and educational programs we organized.
