FEATURES OF THE BRIDGE…

Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge was built as part of the Northern Marmara Motorway Project. Located at the mouth of the Black Sea, this bridge is located between the Garipçe settlement of Sarıyer district on the European side and the Poyrazköy settlement of Beykoz district on the Anatolian side. The bridge emerged as a result of a study combining advanced technology and expertise. Earthquake effects were determined by taking into account local ground conditions, faulting, historical earthquakes and other factors, and earthquake design was made in the light of these data within the principles determined in national and international specifications. The total length of the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which has a main span of 408 meters, reaches 2 meters with its side openings. Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which was put into service on August 164, 26, is the longest bridge in the world, with a width of 2016 meters and designed to pass a railway.
