Practical training was organized for health workers within the scope of Newborn Resuscitation Program by Şanlıurfa Provincial Health Directorate. A certificate will be given to the trainees who successfully complete the training.

In this context, Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) practitioner training started on 6,7,8, 48, XNUMX June by Şanlıurfa Provincial Health Directorate in the meeting halls of the Public Health Services Presidency. A total of XNUMX personnel (physicians, midwives, nurses working in public, private and university, birth health institutions) attended the training.

NRP Trainings conducted by the Ministry of Health for all personnel to receive resuscitation training in order to "minimize infant and newborn deaths" will last for 3 days. The trainees who successfully pass the theoretical and practical exams within the scope of the training will receive their certificates.

Şanlıurfa Provincial Health Director Dr. Instructor Member Abdullah Solmaz used the following statements in his speech at the opening of the training program:

“When we first started NRP training, about 90 percent of the trainer team came from outside the province. Thank God, we have established our team of our own physicians in Şanlıurfa, and still, fellow educators and course supervisors from outside the province support our trainings. In the future, we hope to come to a position where we are responsible for our own course, with our own trainers, who provide training on our own, and even support the surrounding provinces. A five-minute intervention affects that person's life for a lifetime. The more we intervene correctly, the more the life of that person and that baby continues.”

Stating that they aim for all health personnel who touch the baby to be NRP-trained, Solmaz said, “We want babies who cry at birth and smile in their next life.” said.
