First SOCAR Wennovation Challenge Concluded

The Start-up Challenge program initiated by SOCAR Turkey on Wennovation, the open innovation platform created to develop and support the digital ecosystem, has been concluded. Within the scope of the "Wennovation Start-up Challenge" with participation from 23 countries, it was announced that four of the 10 startups that made it to the finals would be offered the opportunity to cooperate.

The first program of the Wennovation open innovation platform, implemented last year by SOCAR Turkey, Turkey's largest industrial holding and direct foreign investor, has been concluded. Alloy Additive, Delivers AI, Flyability and F-Ray Fintech were the winners of the Wennovation Challenge program, which attracted great interest from Turkey and abroad. Our winners, who stand out with their operational practices and solutions that make a difference in corporate processes, were entitled to take part in SOCAR Turkey's ecosystem and cooperate.

SOCAR Turkey continues to support startups and entrepreneurship ecosystem that offer solutions with a focus on digital transformation, and to take innovative ideas to the next level. One of these innovative ideas, SOCAR Wennovation Start-up Challenge, aimed to cooperate with world-class entrepreneurs who develop solutions for the digital transformation of the refinery and petrochemical industry and have products and services that have passed the prototype level and have ready-to-use products. The Start-up Challenge program, in which 40 percent of the applications were made from abroad, was organized on 4 main topics: Smart Asset Management / Occupational Health, Safety and Environment / Refinery and Petrochemical Operations, Energy Efficiency, Sustainability / Fintech.

Winning Ventures will cooperate with SOCAR Türkiye

On the final day, the application period lasts for one month and is held online on May 11; 10 entrepreneurs who made it to the finals explained their digital solution proposals to the jury members. At the end of the final day, the jury members determined the entrepreneurs with whom SOCAR Turkey would cooperate as Alloy Additive, Delivers AI, Flyability and F-Ray Fintech.

Among the members of the jury; SOCAR Turkey Head of Digital Transformation and Information Technologies Hakan Irgıt, SOCAR Turkey Vice President of Business Excellence İbrahim Kadıoğlu, SOCAR Turkey Transformation Group Director Burcu Alkan Fincan, SOCAR Azerbaijan Strategy and Innovation Vice President Tabriz Ammayev, IICEC Board Member Kıvanç Zaimler, Endeavor Secretary General Aslı The Board was attended by Turkmen, MEXT Managing Director Efe Erdem and Hackquarters Co-Founder Kaan Akın.

The attempts that made it to the final are; Alloy Additive, CYC International, Delivers AI, Finboot, Flyability, F-Ray Fintech, GOARC, Offsetted, RoT Studio and Visionaize.
