Continuing its investments in urban transportation, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality strengthened its transportation fleet by purchasing 18 new buses. Buses with disabled access will provide more comfortable and safe travel opportunities to reach rural neighborhoods.
Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality continues its bus investments in urban transportation as well as light rail system investments.
Isuzu Novo Citi buses, which were tendered by the Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department Public Transport Branch Directorate on December 28, 2022, and the contract was signed by Anadolu Isuzu company, arrived in Eskişehir. The vehicles received by the Public Transport Branch Office will replace low-model vehicles serving rural neighborhoods and provide more comfortable and safe travel opportunities.
Officials who gave information about the vehicles said, “Our 18 Isuzu Novo Citi public transportation buses are 7,5 meters long with low fuel and maintenance costs, diesel fueled, air-conditioned, with additional water type central heating, suitable for disabled access, 21 occupants+1 disabled+25. It has standing passenger capacity. Our public transportation vehicles equipped with 7 cameras and recording security systems will mainly serve rural neighborhoods.” they said. The buses, whose traffic registration procedures have been completed, will be put into service for Eskişehir residents.
