Handicraft products of trainees and master trainers participating in the trainings at BELMEKs are offered for sale in the stores opened in Bahçelievler Rainbow Public Market and Kızılay Zafer Çarşısı, and on the internet.

The products of the trainees and master trainers participating in BELMEK, which provides training in 31 different branches within the body of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs, are offered for sale through the newly established SS Başkent Women's Initiative Production and Business Cooperative.

The trainees bring the products they want to sell to the designated product collection day and determine their prices. The products examined by the commission are also put on sale at the stores in the Gökkuşağı Public Market and Zafer Çarşısı, and the fee is transferred to the trainee immediately after the sale.

SS Başkent Women's Initiative Production and Business Cooperative Stores serve 6 days a week between 09.00-18.00.

Underlining that one of the most important projects implemented by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality for women is BELMEK courses, Head of Culture and Social Affairs Department Ali Bozkurt said, “Women in BELMEK's 31 main topics and 61 course centers are in line with their demands, mainly in traditional topics that are about to disappear. taking courses and training. For 25 years, we have realized the demands of our master trainers and trainees at BELMEKs to offer their handicraft products for sale and to contribute to family budgets.” Bozkurt continued:

“We created a structure called the Capital Women's Initiative with the support of our municipality. We opened 2 stores and also enabled the sale of these products online. Every week we have a picking day. The trainees present their products here and set their wages. After our commission selects the ones that are suitable for sale, we offer them for sale. We transfer the wages of the sold ones to them and our trainees contribute to their own family budgets in this way. There is great satisfaction in the feedback we receive. Not only can our people have these products at very economical prices, but also these trainees produce more for their products.”

“We dreamed a lot about establishing a cooperative. We had a great desire that the jobs we teach our women and the things we produce will provide them with income. We have established the cooperative with the support of our president. We enable our women to contribute to their homes by turning the work produced in BELMEK courses into money in our cooperative, and we make many women happy in this way.”
