With the 1st season of the Fubar series being broadcast on Netflix, and reaching a large audience, will the fans of the series now be FUBAR season 2, the release date, the actors, when will the 2nd season of Fubar be released? They make calls like
Arnold Schwarzenegger's CIA agent Luke Brunner may have finally found common ground with his ops mate's daughter Emma (Top Gun: Maverick's Monica Barbaro), but the ending of FUBAR's first season certainly didn't leave the couple in the safe zone.
While Boro (Gabriel Luna) is now well and truly dispatched, their cover has been revealed, putting them at risk of all kinds of vengeance with a cliffhanger ending that begs the question of whether there will be a second season of the spy comedy thriller. Netflix.
So while we await news on whether we'll hear more from Schwarzenegger and his crazy CIA team, here's everything we know about what might happen in the second installment of the series.
FUBAR season 2 release date: When will it be released on Netflix?
FUBAR celebrated Schwarzenegger's television debut with a show modeled after the movie True Lies. Before the show aired, the Terminator star said: "Everywhere I go, people ask me when I'm going to do another big action comedy like True Lies. All right, here it is.
“FUBAR will kick your ass and make you laugh – and not just for two hours. You get a whole season. It has been a pleasure working with Nick [Santora], Skydance and Netflix to give my fans exactly what they are waiting for.”
So what about the second season? Netflix tends to announce a renewal within a few months of a new show airing – as long as the view counts are enough to make streaming giant bosses smile.
If the broadcaster awards FUBAR a second season, new episodes of the series will most likely launch in the second half of 2024.
Who is in the cast of FUBAR season 2?
If FUBAR gets a refresh for season two, the T-800 Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, will of course have to "return" as star Luke Brunner.
Also, after coming out of the eight-episode heist alive, we can expect most of the supporting cast to join him. This includes Monica Barbaro as Luke's daughter Emma, as well as Milan Carter as Luke's best friend and hearsay agent Barry.
CIA buddies Roo (Fortune Feimster) and Aldon (Second season star Travis Van Winkle) would likely return, as they emerged alive from the showdown at the Boro church. Meanwhile, a big question mark hangs over Tina (Fabiana Udenio), we'd have to wait and see after that vague ending suggested she might not be okay.
One of the show's most definitely not returning stars is Boro, played by Gabriel Luna after the definitive death scene. Therefore, in the second season of FUBAR, Schwarzenegger's Luke would need to find another villain to fight.
FUBAR season 2 plot: What will happen?
At the end of FUBAR's first season, we've left Luke on the loose with his family and CIA team - except for Tina, who is still making ominous phone calls back to the office.
After a lot of back and forth bickering and spending time in joint therapy sessions, father and daughter duo Luke and Emma had finally found a way to work together as joint CIA agents. This truce was even reflected in private family dramas when Emma told Luke to go after his mother, Tally, just as she was about to remarry.
The result of Luke's big romantic gamble was indeed one of the pending issues when the season ended in the getaway car cliffhanger, so this would be something a second series would inevitably resolve.
After Barry's new girlfriend is seen making a hush hush phone call in Russian, in addition to the inevitable hilarious jokes, a second season will likely answer this tantalizing question about who Tina really is. Suspicious? We think yes.
Series creator Nick Santora described making the series as "by far the most surreal" project of his career. He said: “I grew up watching Arnold Schwarzenegger movies – I would give my dad a few bucks so I could run to the movies and see the world's biggest star on the big screen, so I would create the first scripted television project. For Arnold, it's incredibly exciting for me.
“What I always marveled at was how funny Schwarzenegger could be when he kept kicking ass. That's why I wanted FUBAR to be a hysterical, CIA spy comedy mixed with heart-stopping action! And that's all – and more.”
Therefore, if we get the second season of FUBAR, we are sure that fans of the series can expect more from the same.

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait for news of a refresh before we overwhelm ourselves with a trailer.
