Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu, and Gui Haichao will take part in the Shenzhou-16 mission. Thus, China's third generation taikonaut crew will undertake the flight mission for the first time. It will also include an aviation flight engineer and payload specialist for the first time in China's taikonaut team.

Shenzhou-16 is a manned space program, the second mission this year and also the space station's first manned mission under implementation and development. At this time, the CZ-16F-Y2 carrier rocket, which will perform the Shenzhou-16 launch mission, will begin the process of refueling.
