FTSO Chairman of the Board Osman Çıralı, who examined the building together with earthquake experts before the opening, said, “There are 191 earthquake isolators in our hospital to minimize the destructive effects of possible earthquakes. Earthquake experts, who went down to the foundation of the building and examined these insulators and other components of the building together, stated that the hospital was built to be quite durable even against major tremors. I would like to thank those who contributed to the construction of our hospital, which received full marks from earthquake experts. Good luck to our region.” said.

Seydikemer State Hospital, whose construction started in Seydikemer in 2020, was visited by Japanese Earthquake Expert and Architectural Designer Yoshinori Moriwaki, Dean of YTU Civil Engineering Faculty, who came to Seydikemer on April 8th. Dr. It was extensively examined by Şükrü Ersoy and the President of the Social Disaster Association, Rezzak Elazat. FTSO Chairman of the Board Osman Çıralı, who invited the experts to Fethiye, and FTSO Deputy Chairman of the Board Muhammet Kökten and Hospital Manager Oğuzhan Akdenizli also participated in the examination. The experts, who went down to the basement of the hospital and examined the 191 earthquake isolators and connection structures, then reviewed the other structural components of the hospital. The experts, who received information from the Hospital Manager Oğuzhan Akdenizli and completed their investigations, stated that the hospital was built to withstand earthquakes.

The 35-bed hospital, built on an area of 150 thousand square meters, started accepting patients last April 26. President Çıralı, “Our hospital received full marks from the experts”

Noting that they started to look at all the structures in Fethiye and Seydikemer from a different perspective after the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes that took place last February 6, FTSO Chairman of the Board Osman Çıralı said that they invited the experts they invited to evaluate the tsunami and earthquake potential of the region in this context, to conduct an examination at Seydikemer State Hospital. told. Stating that they carried out detailed examinations in the areas bearing the structural load of the building, Mayor Çıralı noted that they welcomed the positive opinions of Japanese Earthquake Expert and Architectural Designer Yoshinori Moriwaki, as he is an expert on the subject. Emphasizing that other experts also expressed positive opinions about the hospital's building stock, Chairman Çıralı said, “We had experts in our investigation team, who are well known to all of Turkey, whose views we watch with curiosity on national televisions every day. They made inspections in all areas of our building and received information. They expressed a positive opinion that our hospital was built to withstand earthquakes. Frankly, while we were trying to heal the wounds of a great disaster, we were very happy that our hospital received full marks from the experts in terms of earthquake resistance, while we lost our citizens in the hospital that was destroyed in our province of Hatay.” said.

Stating that Seydikemer State Hospital will also alleviate the burden of Fethiye, Mayor Çıralı said, “We need these structures more in order to prepare Fethiye and Seydikemer, which are the 1st degree earthquake zone, for disasters. We never want it to happen, but natural disasters are part of our lives. After the 1999 Marmara Earthquake, we took many measures to improve the building stock of our country. However, we once again saw that it was insufficient in 2 earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş. With the further development of technology, access to new construction techniques is now easier. We also attach great importance to the fact that our state institutions build such structures that will set an example for our private sector. I would like to thank those who contributed to the construction of the hospital. Building structures that will not make our children feel helpless in the face of disasters is shaped within the framework of our demands and priorities. May our hospital be beneficial to our Fethiye and Seydikemer once again.” he said.
