Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality's Sakarya Bike Fest torch, which includes the world's most prestigious cups, was lit this morning with the Tour Of Sakarya, known as the "time race", while the winner of the breathtaking road bike race was Aliaksandr Bereznyak, the time-defying Russian pedal of Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality.
Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality started to host another historical sports festival. The 3 biggest organizations in cycling, BMX, MTB and Tour Of, were again in Sakarya. The fire of great excitement that started with the name Sakarya Bike Fest in the Sunflower Bicycle Valley, which has turned into a bicycle center with the initiatives of the Metropolitan, was lit this morning with the Tour Of Sakarya.
The first stage of the Tour Of Sakarya, the most talked about race of the season, passing through the city's landmarks in recent years, known as the "time race", was run on the Sunflower Bicycle Valley, Sakarya Governorate and Yenikent Region routes. World star athletes started from the valley and put up a breathtaking struggle to complete the 4.1 kilometer track as quickly as possible.
At 10.30, the first racer started, and all star pedals were started at certain periods in a row. Aliaksandr Bereznyak, the Russian athlete of the Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Cycling Team, who achieved a near-record timing in the first round of the Tour Of, in which 13 teams and 14 athletes from 88 countries participated, came first with a time of 05.13.766.
