Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality (GBB) completed the asphalting work of the approximately 15 kilometers of new roads it opened on the route of Gaziantep City Hospital, which will be put into service on June 4, and made it ready for traffic flow.

Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin and former Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül made a press statement about the hospital and the new road works in the region for the Gaziantep City Hospital, which will serve the citizens at full capacity on June 15. In addition, the members of the protocol received information from the hospital authorities about the latest situation within the framework of the studies, and examined the sections that were completed in the hospital.

ŞAHİN: WHILE THE HOSPITAL WAS CONSTRUCTION, WE ALSO WORKED ON THE TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION MASTER PLAN

President Fatma Şahin stated that while the construction of the hospital was underway, they continued many works simultaneously, from opening new roads in the region to asphalting them.

In his statement, President Şahin stated that he was very excited and proud and said:

“Extraordinary work done with extraordinary effort. We have completed a job where we can show the world how fast, courageous and great we can do. We are part of a team that works like ants and produces giant artifacts. The Covid-19 Outbreak here has shown that there is no guarantee that we will breathe out. We understood the value of City Hospitals much better. That's why he showed how he strengthened the vision of our President, the infrastructure that will protect the health of 85 million people. Our city desperately needed a hospital like this. This is teamwork. Today, as Metropolitan, Şahinbey and Şehitkamil Municipalities, we worked on the Transportation and Public Transportation Master Plan that will ensure the accessibility of the City Hospital, its Ring Road Connection, its entrance by highways, and the entire city's access to here as soon as possible with public transportation. We have worked on landscaping.”

Stating that as of today, all the infrastructure that can reach the City Hospital within 10 minutes from the ring road is being worked out, Mayor Şahin said, “Substantial production was made for a year, a serious budget was spent. Our Department of Science Affairs opened great roads, and our Urban Aesthetics department made landscaping arrangements. Today, as the Metropolitan, it is an important success to have worked on this and to meet the needs and logistics of this hospital. I would like to thank everyone who contributed,” he said.

GUL: CITIZENS WILL BENEFIT FROM HEALTH SERVICE WITH EASY TRANSPORT ON JUNE 15

Former Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül stated that they have come a long way in the 1875-bed Gaziantep City Hospital, and said, “We have 7 hospitals in the hospital that will serve the people of Gaziantep and the region. We have many hospitals from Gynecology to Children's Hospital to Oncology. We are bringing a giant work with 1875 beds to Gaziantep. Our President has been following this process closely from the beginning. Before coming here, we met with our President, we talked about the ongoing investments in the city, including the Amanos Tunnel Project. Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality worked on landscaping and roads. Local governments and Central government have worked together. Politics aside, the health of our citizens is important to us. All of our citizens will receive this service, and we are working for the health, peace and prayer of the citizens. We are in constant contact with our health minister and our companies. Due to the fact that it is a new hospital, the world's most advanced devices will be located in the City Hospital. The existence of such a hospital gives confidence to all our citizens. We will open the 1875 Bed City Hospital after its completion. With easy transportation, our citizens will benefit from health services.”
