In addition to the participation of 4 glass artists from 100 countries, the biennial, where many firsts will take place over 12 days, will host Turkey's first NFT glass exhibition and a glass work collection auction, the income of which will be donated entirely to earthquake victims.
Turkey's first NFT glass exhibition will take place
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality 7th International Denizli Glass Biennial, organized in cooperation with Denizli Metropolitan Municipality and Mixed Design Workshop, will open its doors on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 09.30. Turkey's first and only glass biennial will be held at the Metropolitan Municipality Nihat Zeybekci Congress and Culture Center. The biennial, which will host many firsts, as well as those who are interested in glass as amateur and professional; It will be open and free of charge to anyone from 7 to 70, who is curious about how glass takes shape and turns into art, and wants to meet glass. The biennial, where many firsts will take place over 4 days, will host 100 glass artists from 12 countries, special for the 100th Anniversary of the Republic, as well as Turkey's first NFT glass exhibition, and the glass work collection, whose income will be donated entirely to earthquake victims, will be sold by auction. The first and only wearable glass fashion show of our country, which was held with the participation of 2021 artists in the biennial in 30, curated by Ömür Duruerk, will be held for the second time on Saturday, May 6 at 20:30 at the Metropolitan Municipality Nihat Zeybekci Congress and Culture Center Özay Glum Hall, with brand new designs and the participation of new artists. will be presented.
Turkey's first NFT virtual glass exhibition will take place
In the biennial, the traditional group glass exhibition of glass artists will meet with art lovers this time in the form of NFT with a new vision. The NFT copies of the works will be given as a scholarship to Anadolu University glass department students by purchasing them from the biennial NFT account or by donating to the glass piggy bank that will take place in the biennial. On Sunday, May 7, at 17.00, an open auction consisting of a collection of glass works will take place. In the auction, which will be held with the presentation of Mehmet Akif Yılmaztürk, all the income of the works to be sold will be donated to the earthquake victims. Until May 7, the guests will be able to make their own glass beads and participate in the 'design your own glass' activities, in addition to watching the artists and taking part in the events at the biennial.
