Emphasizing that the amount paid by businesses to students attending vocational training centers is included in the scope of state support, Özer said: “With the new regulation, 9th, 10th and 11th grade students registered at the vocational training center are 2 thousand 552 liras per month, and 12th grade students are 4 thousand 253 liras per month. It charges pounds. All of these fees are paid by the state. In addition, all students are insured against work accidents and occupational diseases. Employment rates of graduates are also quite high; around 88 percent. The fact that there is no age restriction for enrolling in these centers is also a great advantage.”
Stating that after the legal regulation, there was a very serious demand for the vocational training center from both employers and students, Özer said, “While the number of apprentices and journeymen in vocational training centers was around 160 thousand, the number of students enrolled in the vocational training center program increased by 784 percent to 1 million 405 after the law amendment. reached a thousand.”
Increase in female ratio, 1559 percent
Minister Özer drew attention to the number of women enrolling in vocational education centers and said, “While we had 27 thousand female students registered in vocational education centers before the legal regulation, as of today, it has exceeded 1559 thousand with an increase of 449 percent. In the same period, while the number of male students was around 132 thousand, as of today, it has exceeded 624 thousand with an increase of 955 percent.” made its assessment.
Talking about the most preferred areas in the vocational training center program, Özer said, “The number of students in the field of marketing and retail increased by 37.420 percent to 218 thousand 368, the number of students in the field of food and beverage services increased by 876 percent to 128 thousand 126, and the number of students in the field of fashion design technologies increased by 1914 percent. The number of students reached 114 with an increase of 809 percent.”
Emphasizing that they have opened vocational training centers in all of the organized industrial zones in 81 provinces, Minister Özer also drew attention to the age groups of the students enrolled in these centers and said: 1 thousand 405 of them are 663 years old and over.”
