Bursa Metropolitan Municipality continues to reap the fruits of its investments in the beaches in Bursa, which has a total of 277 kilometers of sea and lake shoreline. The Metropolitan Municipality, which brought the 'Blue Flag', which is a high quality indicator, to Iznik Inciraltı Public Beach for the first time in Bursa last year, won the Blue Flag to both İnciraltı Beach and Karacabey's Kurşunlu Public Beach this year.

In order to highlight Bursa's coastal city identity, the Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented important arrangements on the 115 kilometers of sea coast on the borders of Mudanya, Gemlik and Karacabey, and the 162 kilometers of lakes in Iznik and Uluabat, is gradually increasing the quality of the beaches. The Metropolitan Municipality, which started the cleaning of 24 hectares of hard ground and 29 hectares of sandy area with 135 administrative personnel, 30 cleaning personnel and a fleet of 30 vehicles in 76 public beaches for the summer season, has registered its service quality with the double 'Blue Flag' this year. Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which received the Blue Flag for Iznik İnciraltı Public Beach from the Turkish Environmental Education Foundation, increased the number of flags to two this year, by fulfilling 33 different criteria from water quality to cleanliness and life safety, from disabled access opportunities to changing cabins and showers.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which was entitled to receive the Blue Flag again by preserving the quality in Iznik İnciraltı Public Beach, also fulfilled 33 criteria for Karacabey Kurşunlu Public Beach, for which it applied for the Blue Flag, and was entitled to receive the Blue Flag. Thus, this summer, the Blue Flag will be waved on both coasts of Bursa.
