While Turkish Aerospace Industry carries out pioneering projects in the Defense Industry Sector, it also continues its cooperation with ministries. Turkish Aerospace Industries, which was entitled to carry out the "Ministry of Health Ambulance Helicopter" Project with the contract signed between the Ministry of Health and the Presidency of Defense Industries on October 31, 2022, expanded its Air Ambulance Operation to cover the entire country and started to serve in 13 regions.
Support services started by Turkish Aerospace Industries in 08 regions as Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Van, Diyarbakir, Antalya and Trabzon within the scope of Ambulance Helicopter Operation as of November 2022, 7, were increased by increasing the number of helicopters to 6 on May 2023, 13, as per the contract. . In addition to seven regions, Turkish Aerospace Industries started to support Air Ambulance Operations in Adana, Konya, Erzurum, Samsun, Kayseri and Malatya.
Ambulance Helicopters can transport patients up to 400 kilometers without refueling, they can serve between sunrise and sunset and stay in the air for two hours and thirty minutes. All of the ambulance helicopters have intensive care equipment, and newborn babies can be safely transported by using an incubator when necessary. Each ambulance helicopter has 2 pilots, 1 physician and 1 assistant health personnel.
