The solo exhibitions of Turkish artists Mehmet Sinan Kuran “Nowhere” and Günsu Saraçoğlu “ReBirth” opened on April 29, 2023 at The Havre de Grace Maritime Museum and Environmental Center in the United States.
The opening of the exhibition, which was prepared with the latest works of artists, was attended by art lovers including Bruce Russell, Board Member of The Havre de Grace Maritime Museum and Environmental Center, Board Member Leslie Kaufman, Museum Director Jennifer Sim and Turkish Painter Selva Özelli.
Artist Mehmet Sinan Kuran; “We are at the beginning of a new century. This century is the century of paradox. We will now live in a different world. The most important thing we have to achieve; to share, to love each other and to realize that we are one giant family. An 8 billion family living on a planet. My collection named “Nowhere”; It tells about the world of people of different nature. It's about how we create a colorful and wonderful life together.”
In artist Günsu Saraçoğlu; ” I am very happy that my “ReBirth” exhibitions, both at The Soul House in Istanbul and the Grace Maritime Museum and Environmental Center in The Havre, will meet the art audience simultaneously on April 29, 2023. For many years, I have expressed my criticisms about urban transformation, climate and environment through my paintings. My main goal was to both create a memory of the period I lived in and contribute to social awareness through art. And my own level of thought was transformed in my expressions in my paintings and emerged as a “ReBirth” series. “They expressed their thoughts about their exhibition.
Exhibitions of artists Mehmet Sinan Kuran and Günsu Saraçoğlu will be open to visitors until May 31, 2023.
