Has Netflix announced the release date of The Old Guard 2?
As of May 2023, we still don't have the official release date for The Old Guard 2, but it's expected to hit Netflix in 2023.
In the preview on May 17, 2023, Netflix listed The Old Guard 2 as the 2023 release. This is the first confirmation we've seen confirming it will launch this year.
For now, we expect to see The Old Guard 2 in the summer or fall of 2023. We're still waiting to hear about more movies and series coming to Netflix this summer, but Netflix probably won't release The Old Guard 2 until now: a few months after Extraction 16, which is due to premiere on June 2023, 2.
Usually Netflix releases a few movies in late summer, in August, and around Halloween, so we're guessing it will be around this December.
Release Forecast August-October 2023
The Old Guard 2 was filmed in 2022.
While the pandemic and busy schedule have caused delays, the good news is that in 2021, Variety reported that filming for the sequel will begin in early 2022. KFTV later reported that in September 2022, filming was completed in Rome, Italy.
However, it's important to note that production timelines can be unpredictable and filming usually takes around three months and post production even longer, we may have to wait a little longer than expected. Alhamdulillah we will get confirmation on the release date soon!
Old Guard 2 predicted plot summary
While we don't know much about The Old Guard 2's plot, we can predict that the story will likely continue as Andy and his team of undead warriors face new challenges and enemies.
