Etem Tem, who is the owner of the world-famous photograph of Atatürk taken in Kocatepe, will be commemorated for the fifth time with the photography contest, which will be organized with the main sponsorship and support of Afyonkarahisar Municipality and in cooperation with the Atatürkist Thought Association (ADD) Afyonkarahisar Branch.
Etem Tem National Photography Contest, which has become traditional and has the highest participation rate of last year, will be held for the fifth time.
A protocol signing meeting was held under the chairmanship of our Mayor Mehmet Zeybek with the participation of Cultural and Social Affairs Director Cem Kasapoğlu, Atatürkist Thought Association Afyonkarahisar Branch President Veli Cengiz and the members of the board of directors of the association. APPLICATIONS STARTED TO BE TAKEN
Applications for the competition, which will be held this year in the traditional way in memory of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's photographer Ethem Tem, have started. The competition, which aims to promote our city and especially to reveal the hidden historical texture of Afyonkarahisar, will be held in cooperation with our Governor's Office and the Turkish Photography Art Federation. Those who want to participate in the competition will be able to apply online at tfsf.org.tr until August 15, 2023.
The winning works will be announced to the public on Tuesday, August 23, 2023. Within the framework of Victory Week celebrations, an award ceremony will be held on the same day for the works that will be showcased in the exhibition to be held on Saturday, August 26. The first prize will be awarded with 5 thousand TL, the second with 4 thousand TL and the third with 3 thousand TL.
