Chinese President Xi Jinping responded to a letter from senior artists and experts working at the National Museum of Fine Arts of China the previous day and celebrated the 60th anniversary of the museum's founding.
In his letter, Xi Jinping pointed out that the National Museum of Fine Arts of China has witnessed the rapid progress of fine arts studies of the People's Republic of China, and that the museum will make great efforts in the coming days on issues such as quality collection, high level of use of artifacts by the public and providing quality service to the public. In this way, he called for the creation of a world-class “art palace”.
