Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyervisited the 11th branch of People's Grocery Store/People's Butcher, which was put into service in Bornova Çamdibi, to deliver healthy, cheap and reliable food to the public. Minister Tunç Soyerto IzTarm A.S. General Manager Murat Onkardeşler, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Barış Karcı, ESHOT General Manager Erhan Bey and neighborhood headmen were accompanied.
“15 million liras remained in the pockets of our citizens”

In 11 People's Butchers, which we have opened so far, 55 million liras have been sold. Thus, 15 million liras remained in the pockets of our citizens. After that, we will spread them all over Izmir. We will continue to meet the meat needs of our citizens who are trying to earn their living with the sweat of their brows and their efforts. We will do much better, much more than what we have done so far. We will continue to spend the resources created by this country for the people of this country.”

IzTarm A.S. General Manager Murat Onkardeşler said, “Our president met with the neighborhood headmen 10 days ago. There was a demand and we fulfilled that request in a short time like 10 days. It is very valuable for our citizens that we provide our daily fresh meat obtained from local animals at an affordable price. We will continue to pursue this. Our facility in Ödemiş is in a position to meet the demand in terms of capacity. We buy our animals entirely from cooperatives and small producers. Our producer is satisfied, our citizens are satisfied, we are satisfied”.
“I couldn't eat meat for a year, I just bought it today”
After the Çamdibi branch was put into service, citizens flocked to the People's Butcher, and queued up to buy healthy and reliable meat at an affordable price. Citizens who expressed their satisfaction with the service used the following expressions;
Mehmet Yeşilırmak: “It is a very good application. I couldn't eat meat for a year, I just bought it today. It's the first time I bought such cheap meat. Hopefully more to come.”
Sezai Sultansuyu: “The prices are really good and very affordable. Our President Tunç SoyerWe are very pleased with this meat section made by . We are very pleased with the neighborhood.”
Gülfidan Lale: “We liked it very much. I was going far to get this meat, now it has come to our feet. We are very satisfied with the quality and cleanliness of the meat. We are very happy with our municipality and our mayor.”
Cheap and healthy food with 11 branches
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality's subsidiary İzTarım A.Ş. Healthy and safe meat products purchased from small producers, Izmir-branded processed products and carcass meat are offered for sale at affordable prices in the renovated People's Butcher sections of the People's Grocery, whose number has reached 11.
Meat products sold at approximately 40 percent below the market price due to inflation gave hope to citizens' kitchens. In addition to meat products, there are dairy products from İzmir, herbal products and natural and healthy products produced by cooperatives from all over Turkey in the branches of People's Grocery-People's Butcher.
