The First Domestic and National Helicopter Engine TS1400 flew GÖKBEY

Developed within the scope of the contract signed between the Presidency of Defense Industries and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), the T625 GÖKBEY Helicopter successfully completed its first test flight with the TS1400 Turboshaft Engine developed and produced by TEI with national facilities.

Testing and certification activities of the T625 GÖKBEY Utility Helicopter, which is the original project of TAI, continue successfully. T2023 GÖKBEY, whose mass production continues and will be delivered to the Gendarmerie General Command in 625, will be able to perform transport, VIP, cargo, air ambulance, search and rescue and offshore transport duties due to its wide range of duties.

For domestic and foreign users in need, GÖKBEY will be able to perform its duties effectively with the National TS1400 Turboshaft Engines, even in the most challenging climates and geographies, in high altitude and temperature, day and night conditions. With a total take-off weight of 6 tons, a capacity of 12 passengers, a maximum speed of 306 km/h, a service ceiling of 20.000 ft, and a flight time of 3,8+ hours, GÖKBEY can stay in the air for 5+ hours with its external fuel tank and has a maximum range of 948 kilometers.
