Turkish Aerospace Industry General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil participated in the Açık ve Net program presented by Güntay Şimşek and Kübra Par in Habertürk live broadcast. Temel Kotil, presenting the products developed by TAI, made statements about the National Combat Aircraft. Temel Kotil announced that the National Combat Aircraft will cruise at supersonic speeds:

“We call it Supercruise on fifth-generation fighter planes. It needs to be able to fight at supersonic speed. F-16s and 4th generation Eurofighter or Rafele French planes cannot Supercruise. When they want to fight, they go under subsonic sound, that is, they go down to 8-9 kilometers per hour, when they want to fight, they go supersonic. The engines are in two stages, first and second. They work second, when you run the second it is supersonic this time but it eats up fuel because it is not efficient and not well done. It can fly for 7-8 minutes. Ours is flying for hours, flying supersonic.”

President of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir was a guest on TRT NEWS broadcast recently. Making statements about the projects in the sector in the broadcast in question, Demir also talked about the latest developments about the National Combat Aircraft (MMU). Demir used the following statements:

“(MMU) It will fly after the approval of our friends who will give approval. Our goal is to fly as soon as possible, a process that can take up to 1 year. He can pass it. The flight issue is critical. Our engine development projects continue for both our National Combat Aircraft and helicopters.”
