Odessa, which had troubled days due to the Russia-Ukraine war, was not forgotten. IMM decided to send 10 generators with 41 buses to its sister city, Odessa Municipality. Necessary technical training support will also be provided by IETT for the operation of the buses.

Odessa, the sister city of IMM, is going through hard times due to the Russia-Ukraine war that has been going on for more than a year.

Due to the protracted war and extraordinary conditions, many services in the city became unavailable; It is stated that living conditions are getting worse day by day and the public transportation system has become inoperable.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has decided to provide humanitarian aid in order to maintain and normalize life in the city of Odessa, which has a sister city protocol.

The IMM Assembly unanimously approved the granting of 10 buses requested by the Odessa Municipality to this city in order to support the city's public transportation system. Buses belonging to IETT General Directorate will be sent to Odessa Municipality through AFAD Presidency. IETT will also provide the necessary technical training support if there is a demand for the operation of buses.

With another decision, the IMM Assembly agreed to send a total of 41 generators of different powers to the city of Odessa within the scope of humanitarian aid. It was stated that with these generators, citizens will be able to charge their phones and computers and warm up in the centers established by the Odessa Municipality.
