Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, AK Party Trabzon Deputy Candidate Adil Karaismailoğlu, in his written statement, stated that they carried Turkey to the future by signing prestigious projects for the last 20 years. Pointing out that the Osmangazi Bridge is one of these mega projects, Karaismailoğlu pointed out that the Osmangazi Bridge, which is among the few suspension bridges in the world, constitutes the most important part of the Istanbul-Izmir Highway with a total length of 426 kilometers.

Explaining that a record was broken with 22 thousand 87 vehicles passing on the Osmangazi Bridge on April 352, Karaismailoğlu said, “Transportation with the Osmangazi Bridge took a breath and relaxed. It took an hour and a half to cross the bay by car using the existing road, and 45 to 60 minutes by ferry. On busy days, the waiting time was hours. The journey, which took hours, ended with the Osmangazi Bridge and it took 5 minutes.

Karaismailoğlu, “What would have happened if the Osmangazi Bridge had not been built? If that bridge had not been built, 102 thousand of the 95 thousand vehicles would not have been able to be built. Turkey has been fulfilling the requirements of being a state for 20 years. Investments were made as this developing vehicle traffic was foreseen. These needs were met without hassle.
