IETT Started Providing Public Transportation Training to University Students

IETT, the well-established institution of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), started to provide public transportation trainings to university students. Within the scope of the project carried out with Bahçeşehir University, the important points of public transportation, from line planning to quality management, are conveyed to students.

With the cooperation of IETT and Bahçeşehir University, public transportation trainings were started for university students. The first of the “Optimization and Innovation in Transportation” course was held with the 4th grade students of the Faculty of Engineering of Bahçeşehir University. Department heads and managers from IETT who are experts in their fields shared their knowledge and experience.

OPERATION EXPERIENCE WILL BE TRANSFERRED

The trainings, which will continue for 14 weeks, will be carried out in two stages as practical and applied. In trainings; Strategic Planning, Project Management, Integrated Quality Management, Technology Development and Innovation in Transportation, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Planned Maintenance Processes, Transportation Models, Line Optimization, Demand Line Planning, Energy Efficiency in Transportation and Electric Transformation, Strategic Human Resources Management and Passenger in Istanbul Transportation Topics such as experience will be discussed.

THERE WILL ALSO BE FIELD TRAININGS

In the implementation part of the training, field trainings such as technical vehicle inspections, telemetry inspection, which is expressed as the black box of vehicles, and metrobus maintenance-repair activities, will also take place at IETT's Edirnekapı Garage.

At the end of the training, students will work on innovative ideas related to Istanbul public transportation under the themes determined by IETT, and at the end of the semester, they will be able to turn these ideas into projects and present them to IETT.
