Finike Hasyurt Agriculture Fair, which is the first agricultural fair of Turkey, opened its doors to the agricultural sector for the 26th time. Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Muhittin Böcek Stating that they always support the farmers and producers in Antalya, the capital of agriculture, with the goal of development from the local, he heralded that the 'Environmentally Friendly Farmer Card Project' will start in Finike as well.
The 26th Hasyurt Agriculture Fair, which will take place between April 29-26 under the auspices of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, started with a ceremony. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor attended the fair held in Hasyurt Fairground. Muhittin Böcek, Finike Mayor Mustafa Geyikçi, ATB President Ali Çandır, deputies, provincial heads, district mayors, council members, headmen, heads of chambers, NGO representatives, agricultural sector representatives, farmers, producers and citizens.

Finike Mayor Mustafa Geyikçi, who took the first floor at the ceremony that started with a moment of silence and the national anthem, said that they were very happy to host the Hasyurt Agriculture Fair, which was held in its old place with its new face, where they aim to accelerate agriculture. Geyikçi said, “Another supporter of our fair, which has become the meeting point of our producers and consumers, and brings agricultural stakeholders together at a common point. Mayor Insect explained the support of the Metropolitan Municipality in agricultural services as follows: “Energy support for farmers in irrigation, closed-circuit irrigation facilities, smart agriculture applications, equipment and alternative product support, machinery equipment, milk tank, dough kneading machine, grape squeezing machine, hive and beekeeping support, seeds, seedlings, saplings, preventive veterinary services, beneficial insects, biological and biotechnical control. Now, with a total investment of 232 million TL, we will implement the facility where we will generate energy from greenhouse waste in Kumluca, and the fresh fruit and vegetable packaging facility and drying facility in Kumluca Beykent Market.”
GOOD NEWS TO FINIKE
President Insect, giving good news in his speech, said that they will implement the “Environmentally Friendly Farmer Card” Project, which they first started in Kumluca, and now in Finike. Insect, with the environmentalist project that sets an example for Turkey, noted that they support the farmer with awards with the points obtained from the pesticide boxes thrown into the smart vending machines.

Indicating that 95 companies that produce value in the fields of seeds, seedlings, fertilizers and greenhouses will meet with the producers for 4 days at Hasyurt Agriculture Fair, Insect said, “It is important for my farmer brothers to attend such fairs in order to follow the developments in agriculture and improve themselves. We must brand, promote and market what we produce.”

Pointing out that half of the greenhouse agricultural production in Turkey is met from Antalya, Mayor Insect said, “We are in the first place in Turkey in terms of transaction volume, with our 21 wholesalers belonging to our Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, 996 brokers and 911 traders. For a planned and sustainable agriculture, we will continue to work tirelessly with our producers and farmers in 19 districts of Antalya. Because if the farmer is happy, Antalya will be happy. If the farmer is happy, Türkiye will be happy. In the 2nd century of our Republic, we will continue to walk in the path of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who said, "The peasant is the master of the nation".

After the speeches, Finike Mayor Mustafa Geyikçi gave a plaque of appreciation to Mayor Insect. President Insect presented a plaque to the stakeholders who contributed to the organization of the fair. Later, the opening ribbon of Hasyurt Tarım Fair was cut.
