Borusan Logistics, one of the Borusan Group companies that carries out comprehensive studies on the sustainability focus areas of Borusan, on climate, people and innovation, has been awarded the Green Logistics Certificate given by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

Within the scope of the Green Logistics Certificate, Borusan Lojistik's activities within the company were audited; intermodal transportations, carbon emission reduction and afforestation studies, Management Systems Certificates (ISO 14001 Environment, ISO 50001 Energy, ISO 14046 Water footprint, ISO 14064 Carbon footprint), Renewable Energy Usage rate and Green packaging at a minimum rate of 5% per year.

Saying that they have been carrying out sustainability projects for 12 years, Borusan Logistics General Manager Serdar Erçal said, “We have taken important steps in our sustainability journey, which we started with the slogan 'We Are Going Green' in order to eliminate the damage caused to the environment due to the fossil energy consumption used in all our activities. In 2021, we became the first logistics company to sign the SKD (Sustainable Development Association) Business Plastics Initiative. We carry the hope of a clean future together. The Green Logistics Certificate, which we have received as an institution that places sustainability at its center, is very valuable for us. We implement a wide range of projects on sustainability, from the use of renewable energy to green packaging, from our emission reduction and afforestation efforts to our carbon and water footprint verification systems. We will continue our efforts and do our best to leave a livable world for the future.”
