IETT held a surprise event for the 21 March World Down Syndrome Awareness Day. An exhibition of transportation-themed paintings of children with Down Syndrome was opened and a special trip was made with the children.

In the program supported by Kültür AŞ and Beltur AŞ, companies of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, children with down syndrome were taken from their schools by IETT bus, brought to the exhibition consisting of the paintings they made in the historical tunnel in Karaköy, and the exhibition was opened. The children brought together the pictures made by themselves and their friends with the people of Istanbul.

After the opening of the exhibition, which will continue for a week, the Karaköy - Beyoğlu Funicular Line, which is the most historic metro of Istanbul and the second most historical in the world, went to Taksim Tunnel Square.

The children, who got on the historical tram of IETT on Istiklal Street from here, came to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Miniaturk Center in Sütlüce by IETT bus after their pleasant journey.

They spent a pleasant day examining the historical and symbolic structures of Istanbul at Miniatürk and getting information from their teachers and KÜLTÜR AŞ officials.

IETT continues to work to increase these special days.
