The agricultural packaging waste collection project, implemented by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality in order to find a solution to the problem of agricultural packaging waste, is becoming widespread in Kumluca. As part of the pilot project implemented in Kumluca in order to prevent the uncontrolled disposal and burning of agricultural packaging waste to the environment, and to minimize the damage it causes to the environment and human health, the distribution of Environmentally Friendly Farmer Cards and keychains with chips continues to manufacturers.
The “Environmentally Friendly Farmer Card” project, initiated by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality for the collection and control of agricultural packaging waste, which has become an important problem in terms of environment and human health, is expanding. During the visits, key chains with chips to be used in vending machines where agricultural packaging wastes will be collected are distributed to the producers. Producers throw their packaging wastes into smart collection vending machines placed on Kumluca Chamber of Agriculture, Kumluca Market, Mavikent Market, Kum Muhtarlığı, Cumhuriyet Mahallesi Örnek Sokak and Hacıveliler Mahallesi Hasan Tuna Caddesi by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. Thanks to the chip keychains, manufacturers earn points for the agricultural packaging waste they throw away. With the points collected in the system according to the weight of the packaging waste, the farmers will win prizes such as greenhouse nylon and greenhouse rope. Farmers can see their points and the gifts they can receive through the mobile application and website downloaded to their mobile phones.
