It looks like Christmas has come early, with Netflix in October 2022 announcing the official start of season 7 of Elite by releasing a short video of some of the new cast. This announcement came before the sixth season premiered on November 18.
Elite is a popular teen series on Netflix, so it's no surprise that the seventh season has been delivered. The show was created by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona and follows a group of students who attend the fictional prestigious high school Las Encinas.
What many enjoy about the series is the exploration of many different concepts and themes. Then there are the mysteries and surprises that keep you coming back for more. In fact, many describe Elite as a mix of TV shows Gossip Girl, Riverdale, and How to Get Away with Murder.
The cast has changed dramatically over the seasons, especially with season six. However, it looks like one of the original cast members will be returning in season 7 of Elite. Read on to learn everything there is to know about the upcoming seventh season.
Elite season 7 filming?
Yes, principal photography began in November 2022. A completion date is currently unknown, but we're probably looking at around four months of production before episodes go into post-production.
As of March 9, it looks like the cast and crew are still filming for season seven. However, we expect the work to be completed by the end of the month. If that really happens, new episodes will likely spend about five to six months in post-production before they hit Netflix.
Elite season 7 release updates
Unfortunately, we don't have a release date yet. The movie is still very early in the making process, so it will likely take some time for Netflix to release this information. But for now, our best release date prediction will be summer 2023. We base this on when we think filming will be completed and how long the episodes will take in post production.
Elite season 7 cast
It has been announced that Omar Ayuso will reprise his role as Omar Shanaa in Elite season 7. If you remember, Ayuso left the series after season 5, so we're excited to see her return. Alongside the return of Ayuso, seven new cast members have also been added.
We're not sure who will return from season six but expect to see André Lamoglia (Iván), Valentina Zenere (Isadora), Adam Nourou (Bilal), Carmen Arrufat (Sara), Álex Pastrana (Raúl). ), Elite season 7 featuring Álvaro de Juana (Dídac), Ander Puig (Nico), Ana Bokesa (Rocío) and Nadia Al Saidi (Sonia). She has photos on the set for the seventh season.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Carla Díaz (Ari), Martina Caridd (Mencía), Manu Ríos (Patrick) and Diego Martín (Benjamín) will be returning for season 6, depending on how things go in season 7, if you remember Blanco in the season 6 finale. -The Commerford family is shown moving away from Las Encinas.
On February 23, it was revealed that Argentine actor Leo Sbaraglia will play Isadora's father in the seventh season.
On March 9, Netflix announced that popular Brazilian singer Anitta has joined the cast of season 7. It looks like she will be playing “Girl from Rio”.

Elite season 7 plot: What could happen in season seven?
Unfortunately, we don't have an official recap for season seven yet, but there's still a lot of ways next season could go. Of course we can expect more drama and mystery. We actually have an idea of what might happen in the first episode of the season.
Season six ends when a mysterious person drives past Las Encinas in a black SUV and shoots the students. The characters present in this scene are Isadora, Dídac, and Dídac's brother. We don't see anyone getting shot, but I'm pretty sure one of the characters just mentioned will be injured in some way. I hope no one dies though. The first episode will most likely tackle the aftermath of the shoot and find out who is behind it.
