Chocolate Park, which was established on 60 acres of land in Gülyalı district by the Metropolitan Municipality in order to integrate Ordu with hazelnut and chocolate and present it to the world, continues to grow and contribute to Ordu tourism day by day.
Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. ORTAR A.Ş., the agriculture subsidiary of the Metropolitan Municipality, was established in Gülyalı district with the support of Mehmet Hilmi Güler. Chocolate Park, where activities are carried out by the company, has become a frequent destination for domestic and foreign tours since the day it was opened.
PROVIDES ITS VISITORS THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE CHOCOLATE
Chocolate Park, where many local products made in Ordu are processed and presented to the visitors, finally made a name for itself with the Local Tastes Academy. With the “Productive Women of the Working Army” Project carried out by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of DOKA 2019 Social Development Support Program (SOGEP), women selected from 19 districts produced and sold local products unique to Ordu. The project was brought to the screen by making the agenda of many national channels. In addition, local and foreign tourists visiting the Chocolate Park had the opportunity to make their own chocolate with the workshop.
TOUR COMPANY REPRESENTATIVES VISITED CHOCOLATE PARK
Continuing its efforts day and night to make Ordu a brand in chocolate, ORTAR A.Ş continues to host tour companies, which have a say in the region, at the facilities and to make new pre-season cooperation agreements. In this context, 13 tour companies in Trabzon hosted the representatives of the chocolate park. Tourism companies that visited the facilities in Gülyalı district, which are the only ones in the region, had the opportunity to do workshops with chocolate. The representatives of tourism agencies, who were amazed by the facilities, stated that they put Chocolate Park on the list for the new season.
ORDU IS AMONG TOURISM'S FAVORITE
Indicating that Ordu is among the routes of domestic and foreign tourists in the new tourism guide, the representatives of the tour agency said, “We had a productive meeting and trip before the new season. We have seen that subsidiary companies such as ORTAR A.Ş and ORTUR A.Ş have carried out important works in Ordu. The Black Sea region is a favorite of domestic and foreign tourists on its own. We have included it in our Chocolate Park list for the new season as well.”
