Bursa Textile Show, one of the most important meetings of the textile industry in Turkey, has come to an end. Organized by KFA Fair, a subsidiary of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with Uludag Textile Exporters' Association (UTIB), 70 thousand people, including more than a thousand foreign buyers from nearly 8 countries, visited the fair.

Bursa, one of the leading cities of Turkey in the textile sector, hosted another important organization that will strengthen the foreign trade volume of the sector. Bringing Turkish textile manufacturers together with buyers from all over the world, Bursa Textile Show hosted its visitors for the 9th time. At the fair, which was held for the first time this year at the Bursa International Fair and Congress Center, nearly 200 companies presented their 2024 spring-summer clothing fabric collections to the industry professionals.

The Heart of the Industry Beats in Bursa

More than 70 qualified foreign buyers from 1.000 countries, especially European and Middle Eastern countries, held business meetings with companies within the scope of the work of KFA Fair Organization and the procurement committees coordinated in partnership with BTSO and UTİB. In the fair, which was held in 4 halls, on a total area of 10 thousand square meters, the participants had the opportunity to discover the latest innovations in the sector with the seminars held together with the trend areas. A total of 3 thousand domestic and foreign business professionals visited the fair, where the heart of the industry beats, for 8 days.

“We Bring Buyers From All Around The World With Our Industry”

BTSO Chairman of the Board of Directors İbrahim Burkay said that they left behind another fair organization in 2023 within the scope of their work for the export-oriented growth of the Bursa business world. Burkay stated that they hosted industry professionals from different geographies of the world in Bursa at the Bursa Textile Show Fair after the Junioshow Fair, which was visited by buyers from nearly 80 countries in January. He noted that they brought together the purchasing committees, which included the important players of the sector as far as Jordan, with the representatives of the business world at the fair. İbrahim Burkay said, “We have completed the ninth Bursa Textile Show with the strong cooperation of the stakeholders and the devoted approach of our textile industry representatives. Bursa is an important center in the international arena with its quality production and design in the textile and fabric sector. We want to strengthen the competitiveness of our city in the sector. The fair also has a different meaning for us this year. As a country, we experienced two major earthquake disasters in Kahramanmaraş in February. We will use the income of our fair, which we organized with the consciousness of cooperation and solidarity, to meet the needs in the earthquake region. At this point, I would like to thank all our companies for their support and sacrifices during this difficult process.” said.

The Sector Opened Doors to New Markets with Bursa Textile Show

UTİB President Pınar Taşdelen Engin stated that the impact of international quality fairs on the leading position of Turkish textile in world trends is great and said, “Bursa Textile Show Fair, which we held for the 9th time in Bursa, where all stages of the supply chain take place, contributed to the strengthening of the export momentum of the sector in this sense. Within the scope of the fair, in our 'Turkish Textile Network (TTN) Natureverse Reflect Vol.2' event, we presented the clothes produced entirely by TTN member companies at every stage, from yarn to fabric, from design to finished product, to qualified domestic and foreign buyers. It is also gratifying that this point is the center of attention. Within the scope of the Ecological Textiles UR-GE Project, the B2B meetings of the cluster member companies with the foreign procurement committee resulted in important collaborations and opened the door to new markets. Bursa Textile Show, where sector representatives and foreign business professionals came together, turned into an organization above the country standards. It is also very important that the income obtained here is transferred to the region at a time when we are healing the wounds of the earthquake. While we are going through a difficult period as a country, we have increased our motivation by showing that Turkish textile, ready-made clothing and apparel are really strong.” used his statements.

Bursa Textile Show on 5-7 September 2023

İsmail Kuş, Vice Chairman of BTSO Board of Directors, said that the fair organizations contribute not only to the export targets of the companies, but also to the commercial life of the city. Emphasizing that the Bursa Textile Show, which welcomes its visitors with its new concept in its new location this year, will open its doors for the second time between 5-7 September 2023, İsmail Kuş said, “Bursa Textile Show, which is one of the most important meetings of the textile industry in Turkey, grows with each passing year. Our goal is to enable our industry to show its experience in value-added production more in export markets. We will continue to work on this path.” he said.

The Industry Is Satisfied With The Fair

İpekiş General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors, UTİB Supervisory Board Member Aşkın Kandil stated that the fair is getting better every year and said, “I think it will be more effective for both the participants and the visitors and the results will be positive. We also have such a motivation to embrace our work with all our hands. The fair, which took place at the International Fair Center this year, made us all very happy in terms of space and all services. I hope we will successfully realize new ones together.” said.

BTSO Assembly Member Yavuz Özdemir stated that Bursa Textile Show Fair has grown in all aspects and stated that the buyers were satisfied with the new concept of the fair. Hilal Gülseçen, General Manager of Seçen Tekstil, noted that they hosted both domestic and international purchasing committees during the fair, and stated that they introduced the 2024 spring-summer creations at the fair.
