Pointing out that there are ongoing investments throughout Turkey, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that they will now hold some openings that they postponed due to the earthquake agenda.

Karaismailoğlu stated that the most important of these is the Ankara-Sivas high-speed train line, and said:

“We will finish it and put it into service before the end of April. We connect not only Sivas but also Kırıkkale and Yozgat. Again in Istanbul, we have reached the final stage of our metro line, which passes through Başakşehir-Çam and Sakura City Hospital. By opening it in the coming days, we will bring together the world's largest and most modern hospital, the hospital with 100 thousand people daily, with the metro, and also bring together the new public living areas of Istanbul, Kayaşehir and Başakşehir, with the metro. We will open the Gayrettepe extension of the Kağıthane-Istanbul Airport metro line in the coming days. We will put the AKM-Kızılay metro line into service in Ankara in the coming days. Zigana Tunnel is the longest tunnel in Europe with 14,5 kilometers. We will put this into service in the coming days. We are also finishing the 15 July Martyrs Bridge in Adana.”
