Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues to produce projects for happy families and happy children. In this context, the Metropolitan has worked on a social service facility that will resemble a train locomotive for children and parents. The target audience of the Locomotive Children's Village project will be children aged 3 to 6 and their parents. Three companies submitted bids for the project.
VISUAL DESIGN ATTRACTED ATTENTION
The social service facility in the design of the Locomotive Children's Village, prepared by the Metropolitan Municipality, will be built on an area of 265 square meters in the Izmit Doğu Barracks Park. The facility, which is planned as an entertainment and activity area for children aged 3-6, will consist of 11 wagons in total. The tender for the construction of the Locomotive Children's Village, which will also attract attention with its visual design, was carried out in the electronic system in the tender hall of the Metropolitan main service building. In the tender, in which three companies participated, the lowest bid was 4 million 477 thousand TL. The proposals will be reviewed by the commission and the work will begin within 10 working days after the signing of the contract.
A TOTAL OF 11 WAGONS WILL BE BUILT
Within the scope of the project, in which different activities will be organized for children, it will consist of 15 workshop wagons for 8 people, 1 administrative wagon, 1 wet area wagon for children and 1 waiting room with a kitchen niche for educators and parents, and a total of 11 wagons. The project was planned to be made of 11 train wagon-designed containers. The layout of the wagons was shaped to be placed at the front according to the entrance and ceremony area, circulation areas for children, a playground and an amphitheater designed for outdoor activities. Each container will be 3×8 meters in size and will be 24 square meters in total. The total indoor area is planned to be 264 square meters and the total seating area in the park area of the project is planned to be 1433 square meters.
