Turkish Aerospace Industry continues to increase its cooperation in the field of R&D. Announcing that it has recently signed a cooperation protocol with an important University in Turkey, the Company signed a protocol for the establishment of the 'Advanced Coatings, Thin Films and Surface Research Laboratory' to be located at Ege University Engineering Faculty this time.

In the laboratory, where at least 20 researchers will work, it is aimed that more academicians and students will reach advanced R&D solutions to be used in unique platforms developed by Turkish Aerospace Engineers. Within the scope of the protocol, studies that will form the basis of very important projects such as the characterization and development of radar absorbing materials and nanomaterials will take place.

The signed protocol also includes training graduate students and postdoctoral researchers working on strategic issues for the company, developing undergraduate graduation projects and providing project scholarship opportunities for students. In addition, 70.000 cores will be allocated from a total of 5.000 core computer systems owned by Turkish Aerospace Industries for advanced R&D studies to be carried out in this laboratory.

Sharing his views on the cooperation with Ege University, General Manager of Turkish Aerospace Industries, Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil said, “Our door is wide open to our young engineers who are trained in our universities. We continue our efforts to ensure that our engineers, who continue their education at the universities with which we cooperate, quickly adapt to the technological development taking place in the world today. We are taking steps to grow saplings from today, tomorrow we will see the days when they will become trees and bear fruit.'' He said.
