The statement said, “In the same month, the domestic passenger traffic at the airports serving throughout Turkey was 5 million 613 thousand, and the international passenger traffic was 6 million 132 thousand. Together with the direct transit passengers, the total passenger traffic increased by 25 percent to 11 million 750 thousand passengers. The passenger traffic, which has decreased greatly throughout the world and in our country during the coronavirus (covid-19) epidemic, has approached its previous level in February 2023 compared to the same month of 2020. In total passenger traffic, including direct transit, at our airports, 2023 percent of 2020 passenger traffic was realized in February 95. In addition, in the same month, the total aircraft traffic, including overpasses, was exceeded.

PASSENGER TRAFFIC INCREASED 36 PERCENT IN TWO MONTHS PERIOD

Aircraft traffic in the January-February period compared to the same period of the previous year; The statement, which was reported to be 129 thousand 281 in domestic lines and 90 thousand 666 in international lines, continued as follows:

“With the overpasses, a total of 286 thousand 814 aircraft traffic has been reached. Domestic air traffic increased by 27,5 percent, international air traffic increased by 33,2 percent and total air traffic, including overpasses, increased by 31,5 percent. Domestic passenger traffic at airports increased by 20,7 percent to 12 million 372 thousand, international passenger traffic increased by 54,8 percent to 12 million 998 thousand. In the same period, total passenger traffic, including direct transit passengers, increased by 36 percent and reached 25 million 382 thousand. Airport cargo (cargo, mail and baggage) traffic reached 550 thousand 802 tons. While 74 thousand 449 aircraft traffic took place at Istanbul Airport in the two-month period, 10 million 768 thousand passengers were served. Air traffic at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport reached 33 thousand 46. 5 million 204 thousand passengers preferred Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.”
