Work continues on the Kartepe Cable Car Project, which Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality's 50-year dream has turned into reality. Electromechanical parts to be used in the cable car system have arrived. The mechanical equipment of the ropeway system, which will be used in the pole, pulley, driving and tensioning stations to be used in the ropeway line that will run between Derbent and Kuzuyayla, were gathered in Derbent Stadium.

INSTALLATION WILL BEGIN

The rough construction of Derbent Station, the first stop of the cable car line, is about to be completed. Work continues at the other station. After the completion of the station, the installation of electromechanical parts will begin. The cable car line that will run between Derbent and Kuzuyayla will be 4 thousand 695 meters long. The system will consist of a single rope, detachable terminal and cabins for 10 people. In the cable car project, which will include 2 stations, 73 cabins will serve. The elevation distance on the cable car line with a capacity of 500 people per hour will be 90 meters. Accordingly, the starting level will be 331 meters and the arrival level will be 1421 meters. The distance between the two stations will be exceeded in 14 minutes. Citizens will travel between both stations with a unique view.
