2,5 thousand passengers used the District Public Transportation Transfer Center, which was built by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and started the period of transportation from the districts to the city center with a single vehicle, in 500 months. Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “We will continue to work with great effort and diligence to implement projects that will facilitate the lives of our citizens and quickly solve their problems in Samsun, which is a pioneering and exemplary city.”
The 'District Public Transportation Transfer Center', built by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and put into service last December 29, was a solution to the hop-on-hop-off problem that passengers and minibuses living in the districts had been waiting for years. The center, which enables citizens to reach the city center and from the city center to the districts with a single vehicle, used 2,5 thousand passengers in 500 months.
'WE ARE VERY SATISFIED'
Züleyha Himmetoğlu, who said that she had to go to Çarşamba district every day because she was a marketer, said, “May Allah be pleased with those who built this place. You are very satisfied. Let the Mevlam not touch the feet of those who made this project. I'm a marketer, I was dying from commuting to the Wednesday stop. But now I'm comfortable. I pray for this place every day. No matter how much we pray, it is less.”
'WE ARE COMING WITH ONE DOLLUS'
Cemalettin Kuru, who stated that he had to come to the city center from Alaçam every day because he was being treated for cancer, stated that it was very good to be given the opportunity to come to the city center with a single vehicle and said, “We provide transportation with a single minibus. I can get health care more easily. It used to be very difficult. I would like to thank our President Mustafa Demir very much”.

Bekir Dağdelen, on the other hand, stated that he had to change 3 vehicles to come to the city center before and said, “Now it is very nice. Good luck to those who did it," he said. Hasan Keskin said, “It was very nice. We don't have boarding now. It's been a time saver for us. We are very pleased. We reach the point we want much more easily” and expressed his satisfaction.
'RELIEVED THE TRANSPORTATION PROBLEM'
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said that the District Public Transportation Transfer Center is an investment that is used extensively by the citizens coming from the districts to the city center and that they are very pleased with, “Our citizens coming from the districts were having serious problems with transportation to the city centre. Transportation had become an ordeal for them. With this project, we have eliminated the problem of our citizens. Our people can now go to whichever district they want to go from this center with a single vehicle,” he said, adding, “Our citizens who use the center are very satisfied. They also share this with us. We are building a Samsun, where our citizens live happily and peacefully in unity and togetherness, looking to the future with hope. District Public Transportation Transfer Center has 13 drop-off platforms, 3 airport shuttle platforms, 3 ticket offices, an open parking lot for 72 vehicles and a taxi stand for 12 vehicles.
