In its latest statement on the earthquake, AFAD said, “According to the latest information received from SAKOM, a total of 20.665 citizens lost their lives in the provinces of Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Adana, Adıyaman, Osmaniye, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya and Elazığ; 80.088 of our citizens were rescued. 92.697 disaster victims were evacuated from the region to other provinces," he said.

A total of 31.832 search and rescue personnel, consisting of AFAD, PAK, JAK, JÖAK, DİSAK, Coast Guard, DAK, Güven, Fire Brigade, Rescue, MEB, NGOs and international search and rescue personnel, are working in the region. As a result of the negotiations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the number of search and rescue personnel from other countries is 8.294.

In the works of the Damage Assessment Disaster Group, 122.152 buildings have been inspected so far.

In addition, the total number of personnel working in the region is 166.095, together with the number of field personnel assigned from AFAD, Police, Gendarmerie, MSB, UMKE, Ambulance Teams, Volunteers, Local Security and Local Support Teams.

Excavators, tractors, cranes, dozers, trucks, water trucks, trailers, graders, vacuum trucks, etc. A total of 12.076 vehicles, including construction equipment, were shipped.

31 governors, more than 70 district governors, 19 AFAD top managers and 68 provincial directors were assigned to disaster areas.

An air bridge has been established to transport personnel and materials to the region. A total of 1.074 sorties were made with a total of 3.558 air missions affiliated to the Air Force, Land Forces, Coast Guard and Gendarmerie General Command.

A total of 24 ships, 2 by the Naval Forces Command and 26 by the Coast Guard Command, were assigned to the region for personnel, material shipment and evacuation.

Disaster Shelter Group

10 tents and 170.902 blankets were shipped to 1.507.494 provinces that were heavily affected by the earthquake by AFAD, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Red Crescent. The installation of 102.274 Family Life Tent has been completed.

Disaster Nutrition Group

A total of 326 mobile kitchens, 86 catering vehicles, 11 mobile bakeries and 252 service vehicles were sent to the region from the Red Crescent, AFAD, MSB, Gendarmerie and Non-Governmental Organizations (IHH, Hayrat, Beşir, Initiative Associations).

In the disaster area, 8.560.506 hot meals, 1.668.872 soups, 7.494.615 liters of water, 8.519.787 breads, 4.519.263 refreshments, 16.700 teas, 3 718.138 beverages were distributed.

Disaster Psychosocial Support Group

4 Mobile Social Service Centers were assigned to the provinces of Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Osmaniye and Malatya. 1.645 personnel and 164 vehicles were dispatched to the region. Psychosocial support was provided to a total of 99.916 people, 10.734 in the earthquake zone and 110.650 outside the earthquake zone.
