Two trucks with a production capacity of 6 meals a day and 15 breads were also set out to reach the region. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) took action with the code "urgent" due to the 10 magnitude earthquake disaster in Kahramanmaraş Pazarcık, which caused destruction and loss of life in 7,4 provinces. CHP Deputy Chairman Honorary Adıgüzel and İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu, district mayors and IMM bureaucrats came together at the Disaster Coordination Center in the ISKI campus. İmamoğlu shared with the public the support they will do first hand as İBB with the following words:
“THE EARTHQUAKE LEVEL HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED AS LEVEL 4”
“Unfortunately, we woke up this morning to a very sad day for our country. The 04.17 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş at 7,4:10 affected the whole geography and was felt intensely in 4 provinces. And unfortunately, it caused loss of life and property. First of all, we wish God's mercy on all our citizens who lost their lives, and we wish our citizens who were under the rubble to cling to life as soon as possible. The provinces where the earthquake was effective; Kahramanmaras, Hatay. We also convey our best wishes to all our citizens in Osmaniye, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Malatya, Adana and Mersin. Within the scope of the 'Turkey Disaster Response Plan', the level of the earthquake was declared as the XNUMXth level. TRANSFERRED THE TEAM AND EQUIPMENT TO BE SENT TO THE EARTHQUAKE ZONE BY IMM
“So far, 311 of our personnel have been dispatched to the region as an intensive search and rescue team. Of course, let me reiterate that our priority is search and rescue as of the first hours. It will be transported to the region by air. In addition, I would like to express some of our support. We are sending 20 construction machines to the region again. Within this, we started to send some vehicles that will be needed from snow plows to excavators, from earthmoving trucks. We are also sending our Support Services food truck, which has the capacity to produce 6 meals at once, and our mobile bakery, which has a capacity of 15 bread, to the region. We have dormitory vehicles. We have trucks that will contribute to the other emergency process and meet the water needs. We send 140 containers for 20 cabin mobile WC needs in the vehicles we send. We are sending 42 containers for 6 cabin mobile shower needs. Apart from this, we also deliver necessities such as sleeping bags and blankets to the region in a coordinated manner. In the first stage, we were organized based on a list of needs for search and rescue purposes. We will be in the region on behalf of the people of Istanbul at the highest level, with our own means, regarding the contributions that will occur over time or the deficiencies determined by AFAD. As both the district municipalities and the Metropolitan Municipality, we will be managing the process not only with the contributions of our institutions, but also in order to organize and send the contributions of our citizens, of course, over time.”

IMM TEAMS PASSED TO THE EARTHQUAKE ZONE UNDER SNOW
After the announcement, İmamoğlu, district mayors and CHP deputy Gökan Zeybek sent the work crew and equipment that IMM will send to the region, in front of AKOM under snowfall. Sharing new information with members of the press before the trip, İmamoğlu said:
“As we identify the needs, we will be in the region with our vehicles and all our human resources. With the determination of AFAD, IMM is responsible for Hatay and we are walking to that region in the first place. Now our vehicles are on their way. We have 8 excavators. We have 5 earthmoving trucks, 2 snowplows, 2 cranes, each 40 tons. We are transporting a fuel tanker and 4 trucks of water. We are shipping 2 trucks of packaged bread. A truck of relief supplies, a truck of blankets, a truck generator… We are sending a food truck that will have a food truck with a capacity of 6 thousand people at this meal. We have a mobile oven. It also has a daily production capacity of 15 thousand breads. We have 2 dormitory vehicles, 19 people and 16 people, with a capacity of 35 people. We have 4×4 vehicles and 2 cold air vehicles. 7 of our trucks will go. These trucks will also be delivering food supplies and dry food supplies for 45 thousand people.”
