Zeki-Nilgün Şenol couple, members of Antalya Metropolitan Active Elderly Center, came third in the Fame Dance Sports Cup organized by the Turkish Dance Sports Federation in Ankara.
In the Active Elderly Center located in Atatürk Park of the Metropolitan Municipality, gerontological, psychological and nursing consultancy services are provided to increase the participation of elderly individuals in the social field, as well as dance trainings. Members who benefit from the center achieve success in national competitions with the training they receive. Finally, Zeki-Nilgün Şenol couple, who participated in the Dance Sports Cup of Fame organized by the Turkish Dance Sports Federation at Ankara METU Development Foundation High School, won the 4rd place medal in the Senior 3 category.
Fascinated the audience
Gazi Umdu, who works as an Instructor at the Active Elderly Center, stated that they give dance training to the aged members for physical activity to protect their health. Umdu said, “Our members are in the Senior 4 category at the dance championship held in Ankara.
He enchanted the audience with slow waltz tango and quick tap dances. As a result of the training they have received, they are very happy to demonstrate their talents and achieve success on national platforms. We are very happy about this situation,” he said.
