Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) launched the 'Give Meal' solidarity campaign with the slogan 'Get a meal from me' for the citizens who came to Ankara from the earthquake zone. After the announcement of the campaign, 21 thousand 74 meal packages were ordered via Yemekver.org, and the total amount reached 2 million 36 thousand 300 TL.
32 thousand 110 packages of food were ordered
ABB President Mansur Yavaş said about the campaign, “You have made hundreds of people smile with kindness. Now, I invite all of you to be a blessing to the tables again”.
In his post later, Mayor Yavaş said, “The support received for the 'Give Meal' campaign, which we started for our citizens affected by the earthquake, reached 9 million TL in 2 hours.”
Meal packages were prepared
Following the receipt of orders, meal preparations began at BelPa Kitchen, a subsidiary of ABB. Prepared breakfast packages and home-cooked meals are on their way to be taken to the addresses of earthquake victims who come to AŞTİ or apply through Başkent 153.
BelPa Chairman Ferhan Özkara, who stated that their only aim is to be a part of the unity displayed by the whole public, said, “As ABB, a high-level coordination work is carried out in our BelPa kitchen. The 'Give Meal' campaign we launched attracted great interest from 81 provinces. Our only goal in this difficult day is to be a part of the unity our nation has displayed. By continuing to serve meals to homes, we will bind up the wounds of our earthquake victims together.” he said.
